Nasal Pillow Odor
Nasal Pillow Odor
I have a very sensitive sense of smell and find the odor of the air coming through the mask very "clinical / sterile". It is very unappealing to me. Does anyone else have this same problem? Is this something that goes away?

Re: Nasal Pillow Odor
I find that aromatherapy works well for getting rid of unwanted odors. This might help.

Re: Nasal Pillow Odor
Try wiping it down w/ a babywipe before every use. Try vaseline in your nostrils as an alternative

Re: Nasal Pillow Odor
I experienced that burning smell after using Resmed Swift and is now practically lost my sense of smell. One thing it is good because I do not have that problem anymore but then I do not know what's cooking...
Be careful and please ask your doctor. For me it is too late

Re: Nasal Pillow Odor
Please do NOT use Vaseline anywhere near your nasal pillows.
It is a petroleum product, which will deteriorate silicone.
Many here use Lansinoh, (purified lanolin--nipple cream) to shield your skin against irritation.
You can find it with baby nursing products.
Vaseline is also bad for your lungs, should you inhale any of it.
