Mask questions and also about Quattro™ Air Full Face Mask

Post by Sleepless in Ca » Tue Mar 04, 2014 1:57 am

Did you like the Quattro™ Air Full Face Mask or not?

How can you tell when you buy a new mask that you get a brand new one and not one that has been returned?

If you have a ResMed machine(I have the ResMed S9 AutoSet™ w/H5i™ Humidifier), do you have to use a ResMed mask? I ask because I have a mask that I cannot connect to the ClimateLine™ Tube.

Thanks so much!

Yes... the Quattro is my backup mask. You get alot of people that love this mask and alot of people that hate this mask. It's that way with all masks.

Probably never really know...

All hoses use the same size hose connection. This should not be a problem. Did your mask have a hose connection in the package that you did not see or use? You can wear any mask with any machine...
Thanks so much!

Look carefully in the mask end of the long hose to make sure you don't have a little piece of plastic from a different mask still stuck in the long hose preventing the mask from attaching.
You can use any brand mask with any brand machine and when a mask won't attach it is almost always caused by something left sticking in the long hose...or maybe an adapter missing from the mask attachment end.

Sleepless:

NO!

I had good sleep results with the QA but it became impossible to wear due to the bruising of the bones on the sides of my nose. I tried hard to overlook that but it was time to get rid of it when the mask caused the daytime wearing of my glasses to be a constant source of pain, redness and swelling.

The Quattro FX has been a much better option for me. Its only flaw is a tendency to ride up one's face during the night. By placing a chin strap connecting the two lower ones ameliorated that problem instantly. The mask has caused no discomfort and nights such as the last gave me 8 1/2 hours of sound rest.
