Sleep Masks?

Post by KBee » Fri Feb 28, 2014 10:18 am

Does anyone use a sleep mask with their cpap? Can you tell me the brand? They all look big to use even with a nasal mask, so I'm looking for recommendations. Thanks!

I like these. They are similar to swim goggles and take several days to get used to, but they work:

Ask me if you need some adaptation tips.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I use the Bucky ultralight, works great with pillows and nasal masks. Has eye reliefs so it's not rubbing on your eye lids all night. My wife got from from Ulta Beauty supply called Earths Essentials that is very similar and half the price.

Hi ubnoxus. I went to this site. Is this the mask you're talking about?
http://www.bucky.com/40-blinks-sleep-masks.html
Maybe I'm missing something but to me it looks like this mask would be useful for only nasal pillows (and maybe the Wisp) mostly because it covers a lot of the eye area? Is this is the mask you use? Did you modify it or cut the nasal bridge down a bit? Thanks SNO.

Sleep Masks?

SNO, that is very similar yes, looks to be a newer design of mine just taller. Mine is shorter top to bottom.
This is the one I have I believe

If you look at the different ones on eBay you notice some are taller, some are shorter. I didn't modify mine at all no. I used it with my Quattro ffm, then the wisp nasal and now the nuance pillow with only a slight issue with the Quattro pushing it open a little at the bridge of my nose.

A lot might depend on your face size. I tried a Quartz (clear version of the Onyix),
but they were too large---Had the center band been adjustable, I may have kept them.
I saw Bucky 40 blinks in BB&B, but they are also too large, leaving a big air gap between my eyes.
I sure wish they made these things in a smaller size!

Recently, I've been using a clean black sock threaded under the mask. Cheap and effective.

I ended up getting the Bucky Ultralight. It works pretty well with my nasal mask. Thanks for your help.

I've been wearing a pair of kids' swim goggles under my wisp.
I punched a hole in the upper right skirt, but they still fog up--time for more holes.
