Sleepyhead app for Mac OSX

Post by Narayan » Mon Feb 24, 2014 4:17 pm

I downloaded & installed the Sleepyhead app successfully on my Mac (OSX 10.4.11).
Nothing happens when I double-click on the app.
Will this software work with OSX 10.4.11?

If you list your machine we can help you. I have a 60 series PR bi-pap and I could not get good info off of sleepyhead on my Mac. I finally installed windows on my Mac and can now view my SH data. Did you download the SH for Mac? There is a bug with some of the 60 series bi-pap that makes SH impossible. At least I couldn't figure it out.

Did you install the Series 60 patch?

Olivia, the windows you use, is it for parallels or did you use the boot camp?
I am using parallels and a couple of months ago my the sleepyhead on the windows stopped being able
to recognize the sd card in the slot. and when I use sleepyhead on mac for the bipap it does not take any data
from the sd card either. . .

Any thoughts?

Yes, I installed the patch . Pugsy stated there is a known glitch with some 60 series bi-paps. I had VM CAre fusion for windows installed on my Mac and can now view Sleepyhead with the windows application.

My problem has nothing to do with the CPAP machine or the SD card. The software itself does not open up into a window when the app is double-clicked. If it only works with later OSX versions than 10.4.11, I need to know. Thanks

I'm also running Snow Leopard (I think the Mac version of SleepyHead came out when SL was the current OS X version). Narayan, I tried to research your question for a bit, but couldn't find a definitive answer.

JediMark developed SleepyHead and then Breathe Jimbo built the Mac version. Both are forum members and still have Private Messaging enabled. You might try registering for the forum and then sending your question via private message to one or both. I see Mark more often on the forum than James (Breathe Jimbo). If SH will run on Tiger, then there may still very well be the question about what make and model of your machine you have.

You could try running it from the command line.

Open up terminal, and at the prompt enter

open /Applications/SleepyHead.app

See what happens.

The other thing you can do is look at your console messages and see if it tells you anything. You can see them by opening Utilities/Console.

If you are lucky, it will tell you what is going wrong but I doubt it will be easily fixable.
