Cheapest place to buy Resmed s9 VPAP Adapt

Hey guys,

I'm from Australia, and I'm sure many of you know that despite Resmed being an Australian company, we pay at least double what you guys do over there for machines. Anyway, my husband needs to upgrade from his CPAP to a Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt (must be this model). I have tried looking on quite a few US websites, but 1 was selling it at $3800US (I can get it cheaper in Australia). Secondwind has a used on for $1449, which is good, but I just wanted to see what the prices were like for new machines, or if there were any other used machine places?

Can anyone send me in the right direction?

Oh, and for those that are interested, my husband has severe OSA, tried mouth splints (broke them twice and almost choked) and the CPAP with a variety of masks. Even with CPAP he still snored! Not like it was when/if he took off his masks (i.e. can hear him from across the other end of the house when I am downstairs & he is upstairs), but still enough to be really annoying for me. He finally had surgery to correct his deviated septum, and put rods in his palette to try and stiffen it. That was quite a bit better, but still a decent amount of snoring. He saw a new sleep specialist (the one I started using as I found out I have hypoanoeas combined with a sleep condition - idopathetic hypersomia), and the dr put him on a VPAP trial. He has done 2 months on it, and literally no snoring! It is amazing! He is breathing in at around 24, so way to high for a regular CPAP, but there are other things going on there apparently (I wasn't in the follow up appointment and my husband always forgets the important details!). Same quality of results with the mask he was using on the old machine and a slightly newer model mask, so the mask isn't making the difference!

I'm so excited, even to spend this amount of money! For the first time in 9.5 years, I can sleep without hearing him snoring!

So if anyone else out there has problems with snoring whilst on CPAP and still having residual tiredness, try a VPAP trial to see if it makes a different!

Yes that was me exactly, I was maxed out on pressure on my auto set and still snoring. Went to the VPAP ASV and no more snoring. My wife was ecstatic that she could finally sleep in the same house again lol
