Best headgear for females
Hello all - sorry if this is a repeat question. I couldn't find the one I put up a few days ago so forgive me.
I have been a CPAP user for 6 months. I am currently using a WISP mask and headgear and the headgear is breaking my hair off. It's also WAY TOO BIG for my normal sized female skull.
Please, any suggestions on headgear that will fit. My supplier sucks. Bunch of morons who know nothing. HELP!!
Thanks

If you 'search' your name in the forum search box you'll find your postings. I know there were answers to your question.

If you like the Wisp otherwise...you might try the Swift FX Nano cushion. The headgear is fully adjustable and the nasal cushion is quite similar.

Or if you really want to go to the other side...check out the mask I use (link in my profile) nasal pillow mask and I don't use any headgear at all.

Pugsy - thanks for having me look at your mask. I like it but don't know if it is for me. In don't think I would like that on my teeth all night.
Re: Best headgear for females
That's okay...the mouth guard scares off a lot of people and it was a bit scarey for me at first since I had never used one but it didn't take all that long to get used to.
I like it now because it also seems to help prevent me from grinding my teeth or clenching to the point that my TMJ wants to act up. So it helps reduce TMJ pain and keeps the nasal pillows from moving.
I just looked at my leak line for last night....nearly totally flat for the entire night which is somewhat of a rarity for me. Normally my mouth comes open a little once or twice during the night.

How do I see my results? I had a card that I sent in as directed and I never got it back. That was 4 months ago. What about software?

Your profile points to the PR System One 60 series Plus CPAP...that would be model 260.TiredMomNY wrote:How do I see my results? I had a card that I sent in as directed and I never got it back. That was 4 months ago. What about software?
Unfortunately it doesn't collect anything but hours of use on that SD card....so nothing to see.
You might confirm for sure that you do have the 260 model...the model number is a 3 digit number on the bottom of the blower unit. Normally might have DS or REF in front of the 3 digits.
With the Respironics machines.....we need model number 450 or higher to have any data beyond hours of use to use software (links in my signature for software).
You might check to make sure of your machine model.
