Hello, All. New to the forum and OSA and slowly figuring things out. Still banging my head against the problem of importing oximetry data from CMS 50I into SleepyHead. On a Mac (likely much of the problem) and have successfully imported and viewed oxi data via SpO2 Assistant (Windows 7 via VMware). However, when I try to import oxi data into SleepyHead, it can't read the files.
Upon import into SpO2 Asst, three files are there: a txt, csv and "SpO2" extension. SleepyHead is looking for a SpO extension. I tried to change the extension (cut off the "2" in the file name ext) and it imported the file, but with no data.
I see that the CMS 50(x) pulse oximeters should be able to connect directly to the SleepyHead software by connecting the device via USB and then selecting the right COM port. However, when I connect my CMS 50I to the Mac, it doesn't show up. I tried finding and installing a Mac driver but that didn't work (probably not the right driver and no direction to find the right one).
Any tips for using Mac and S9 Autoset would also be appreciated!

I can't give advice on the Mac issue but it seems that each of the various CMS 50x devices has a different file structure for storing the pulse-Ox data. That is likely why you can get to the data using the CMS software but not SleepyHead.
SleepyHead can read CMS 50D data and one variant of the CMS 50F data as their files are compatible. The current CMS 50F has completely changed the files structure and won't work with SleepyHead at all.

Re: Import CMS 50I Oximetry to SleepyHead?
Hi nachot,
I don't have your model, so I don't know if the 50i has different issues than my 50d+. But here is what JediMark said was needed to make import work on Macs,
viewtopic/t95229/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=77 ... 12#p869238
and when I followed those directions (installing the UART driver, and using "unstable" build 0.9.4 rather than the patched beta of SleepyHead normally available) it does work for me (I've got it running fine in Mavericks and also in an older Snow Leopard installation). I also learned that if I want the CMS 50 PulseOx data to appear in my daily SleepyHead charts I needed to press the little floppy disc icon (near the bottom of the Oximeter download screen) after import to "save" -- that little icon wasn't intuitive for me.
I hope this helps you with yours. By the way, I find the Mac "unstable" nightly build from November 4, 2013 to be way more stable than any "regular" builds of SleepyHead. But it stores data in a different folder (which is fine for running both versions side-by-side during this test period, but I don't know if it will eventually import to any final upgrade version).
