ResMed S7 Lightweight for sale

Post by Oobie » Wed Jan 15, 2014 11:25 am

This is going to sound a little cheesy, but it's true:

When I mentioned to a fellow congregant at church that I was having a lot of success with CPAP therapy, she seized on it to ask me what to do with her husband's old one. He died a few years ago after entering an adult family home for palliative care.

She gave me the machine:

ResMed S7 Lightweight
Heated Humidifier
6 foot standard tube
Travel case, CD, manual, power cord
1518 hours of use
Unused since 2009

Naturally, the masks and other tubes and things were too worn to offer to anyone.

I imagine that anyone interested in this machine would not be in a good financial position, and if I can't deliver it to someone here, the American Sleep Apnea Association has agreed to take it. Proceeds will go to its owner, who isn't comfortable interacting online.

So... can anyone make use of it? If not, what do you suppose its general market value is?

While it doesn't have a lot of usage hours on it, unfortunately it is not worth a lot being a pre-2008 machine. Probably $50 (?), at which point she may just want to donate.

Market value?? I agree with Randy...probably around $50 or so to forum members here who are notoriously known for being tightwads.

You might also check with secondwindcpap.com. They might be interested in it as it has relatively low hours.

They pay wholesale though.....which is what the forum members here like to pay.

$50 it is, then. Actually, at these levels, if there is anyone known to any reader here who has a need and can't afford it, please encourage them to speak up on this thread and I'm sure I can make arrangements for its delivery. (Secondwindcpap.com isn't buying the S7 Lightweight any longer.)

Otherwise, in a few days I'll donate it to the ASAA and write $50 plus shipping off my taxes.

I can only think of one forum member at the moment who is in dire need of a machine as his quit.

Should you wish to go that route and help him out...let me know privately and I will help offset some of your costs.
