Breathing Problems

Post by needingu » Sat May 27, 2006 8:11 am

Something that seems to be helping me is the breathing exercise prescribed by Dr. Weil . That is..

# 1. Take a deep breath through the nostrils slowly (countintg up to 4 breaths .. making a fat belly.

#2. Hold for a slow count of 7.

#3. Slowly exhale for the count of 8 with mouth open and tougue touching the soft ridge behind the front teeth. This allows for the max benefit from the oxygen.
DO THIS THREE TIMES AND YOU CAN FEEL A RELAXING TINGLE GO OVER YOU. This helps to relax to go to sleep, cuts down on hyperventalation, or just an overall way to reduce anxiety.
I'm no Dr. Ok..just experience...
I have come from the feeling of anxiety, tightness in chest and after 3 months I can tell the world of difference with the feeling of being able to breath deeply and all its benefits and O'K my Bipap
