WTB: TAP PAP mask (got one, thanks!)

Post by dreaming_reality » Tue Dec 17, 2013 8:37 pm

I don't have insurance and would really like to try this mask. I'm not squeamish about a used mask as long as everything is in good condition.

Anyone have one (ideally with the newer mouthpiece) they'd like to sell?

Rest well,

I do not think anybody who tried TapPap want to sell it until it is broken. Not me, anyway.

I agree with you Lazer, judging from all the favorable posts on here I think you will find it very hard to prise someone away from their Tap Pap

I do not have one for sale, but I might be able to help you out, can you give me a contact phone number for me to call you on?

Actually I knew of one and was just getting ready to buy it last night and saw the post..so I told the person who had an unwanted Tap Pap to stop by this thread and contact the person who was willing to take a slightly used one. See if they could work out something and last I heard the Tap Pap was supposed to be going on to its new home today and it isn't me.

I was just going to use it for spare parts anyway so I wasn't in any great need.

It was sort of a odd situation where someone didn't use it enough to decide within the 30 day return window and ultimately decided nasal pillow masks weren't for them.

I don't remember if the mask that is going to a new home has the new thinner mouth guard. Maybe we could find a way to send dreaming reality a new mouth guard??? I have one I could send out but it is my only spare. I would do it if I could get mine replaced some how.

Found out the Tap Pap going to a new home came with both the old and the new improved mouth guard...so both are going to be included from what I understand.

Is there a way to tell if you have the improved mouth guard or not?

Hi Pugsy!

thanks for the suggestion, I am now registered. I'm not sure if you need further help, feel free to contact me if you do.

The product that is now being shipped is likely to only come with the new Mouthpiece. (the new mouthpiece was new in June).

It was back towards end of last summer and back when cpap.com was including the extra "new thinner mouth guard" in their packaging until the stock with old mouth guard was used up
So this particular package had both the new and the old so both the new and the old are going to the OP in this thread.
So I don't think I have to send mine out and I think OP in this thread is probably good to go for now.
Don't need you right now but you never know when that might change.

BTW....I am still using the first set up nasal pillows I started with back first of March when I got the Tap Pap. They look awful but still seal great.
Tap Pap makers aren't going to get rich on my buying replacement pillows.
Only had about a week all this time that I didn't use the set and that was when trying a different mask just for grins.

I can say the same thing about the Swift Nano for Her. Same pillow for around two months and it still looks and feels like new.

I'm experimenting... when I used the Swift FX I would change pillows every month or so. It seems as tho I will get many months with the Nano.

I got months of use out of my Swift FX nasal pillows also but I did a rotation with them with about 3 sets in the rotation.
Take one set off...put another set on...wash the removed set and put it back in the little container with the other 2 sets in rotation.
They got tossed for being ugly long before they were leaky or too tired to use.

With the Tap Pap I haven't done the rotation thing...just used the same set..wash once a week in the morning and put back on at night when dry.

I can see the Nano Cushion lasting a long time with common sense care. I am saving mine...don't know what for but I am saving it.

Glad you were able to find one OP. I really thought you'd have a struggle on your hands to get a second hand one
