I keep having to reconnect my Climateline hose to my Philips Respironics Comfort Gel Blue Full mask at least 3 times each night. Seems like the swivel is really short & any inadvertent "tug", no matter how light, the hose slides off. Didn't happen with my old mask (quattro fx full face mask) but I find I need the forehead support to side sleep without mask ride up. Hose is routed over headboard & has slack.
Thought about putting some tape on the swivel before connecting to the hose but wasn't sure about breathing in glue. Anyone else have this & a fix?

Re: Hose keeps sliding off
I made up a small batch of epoxy and ran a small bead around my mask attachment to make it a bit larger.

Re: Hose keeps sliding off
If required is the little adapter that is supposed be on the end of the hose in place?

Re: Hose keeps sliding off
That's what seems to be too short. It's about a third shorter than the resmed quattro fx swivel adap ter.

Re: Hose keeps sliding off
Mine has a little white adapter that fits into the hose and that is what snaps onto the clear swivel.

Re: Hose keeps sliding off
I have that on....It's a lot shorter than the "adapter" that the Quattro FX uses (about 1/2" shorter overall and 1/4" shorter where the tube slides on).ClayL wrote:Mine has a little white adapter that fits into the hose and that is what snaps onto the clear swivel.
In fact the adapter is shorter than the clear swivel on the mask (IMO a poor design) You now squeeze the adapter to depress the retainers on the swivel barrel to remove the adapter from the swivel instead of the previous ComfortGel Blue design where you squeezed 2 arms at the top of the swivel to release the adapter. It's the same adapter in both designs, I just got the new design when I received my new mask from the DME (my first mask since the one I got during titration after trying the Quattro FX FFM).
I may experiment with extending the adapter epoxying the Quattro adapter to (over) the ComfortGel one. Hope I'll still be able to release the retainers
