Hi I am a newbie here, I have been on a cpap for about 4 years it is the same machine it is the Remstar auto M series with aflex. After poking around on the web I came across this site. I was searching because last night my blue light on the humidifier dial started flashing which I think means the humidifier has failed. Since the machine is at least 4 years old I am sure it isn't under warranty. So>>>
Can any of you recommend a similar machine that i don't have to go through insurance to get? What site ? and general cost approx? With the advent of Obama care and having to get new insurance I let our policy lapse for the last month of the year?

Re: Need new machine
Could you use the machine without the humidifier for two weeks until your new coverage kicks in?

Re: Need new machine
Do you have a copy of your original RX for cpap by chance?
If you do you have some online seller options.
This machine is the latest model in the line of machines that your M series Auto with AFlex is.

Secondwindcpap.com is a possible source for low hour machines...you might check them out but they will require a copy of the RX.
If you don't have a RX and can't get one (any doctor can write the RX) then you will need to find a machine from the secondary market.
Craigslist or private party sales
Forum member mcdover usually has some gently used machines available..you would need to contact him privately to find out cost and what he has available.
Forum member STLMark sometimes has some brand new machines like I linked to above. I don't know if he has any right now so you would need to contact him privately.
