I am currently using the subject Flexfit mask and am somewhat sensitive to system noise.
I find the exhalation bias diffuser noisy at 10cm & wonder if people have tried this mask then found one that is quieter on exhalation.??
I haven't tried the nose plug style & not having nostrils that flare like the opening to The Channel Tunnel, I suspect they won't work for me, so at the moment I am checking out the current type.
Thanks

I was using the F&P Zest, and found it was a bit noisy. I switched to the Zest Q, which is much quieter.

That looks a lot like the 407 other than in the diffusion area, where it has a bulge that the 407 does not have.Foggy1 wrote:I was using the F&P Zest, and found it was a bit noisy. I switched to the Zest Q, which is much quieter.

Re: Alternatives To F&P HC407 Mask??(Exhalation noise)
The FP "Q" means there is a small disposable filter held by a small clear plastic part that clamps over the exhalation port. The FP Eson has one also. For all of my masks, I tape a half thickness of the FP disposable exhalation filter over the exhale port to get rid of the noise and strong draft. Just be sure you do not cover over any of the holes themselves and that you can exhale easily. Works like a charm for me and allows me to use other masks that fit better.
