There are testimonials of people who claimed cpap didn't make them feel better at all, but this has almost cured their apnea. I'm definitely skeptical!

Why would you doubt this, it's a ad, and everything said in ads have to be true, expecially if the ad is on the internet. Jim

I have not heard of that company before, though oral devices are not something brand new. It might work for those whom PAP therapy has not worked well or even failed, but for me I will stick with PAP therapy as it has been a perfect fit and ongoing miracle for me and my OSA .

According to this study, the tap appliance has a much better success rate for most mild to moderate apneas than an fixed appliance since it is adjustable. And success rate is defined as an ahi of 5 or below.
For most of the severe ranges, the chances of success considerably decrease.

I think the success also greatly depends on the practitioner. I highly recommend anyone considering this therapy to visit the dental forum of http://www.apneasupport.org and look for posts by sleepdent. If it hadn't been for him, I would have been ripped off big time when I looked into oral appliance therapy due to having extreme difficulties with pap therapy.
I think it is important to remember that people need as many options as possible because not everyone is going to adjust to pap therapy in spite of their best efforts. As a result, that is why I think people need to be aware of that study so they have the right information to to decide if dental appliance therapy is a possibility.

Re: Have you all heard of this?
There are a fair number of people whose OSA improved a lot as per their numbers - lower AHI, etc. - but who still don't feel better, and they're being studied to find out why. They may have what are called co-morbid, or coincidental conditions (like hypothyroidism) that would explain it, but many don't, so science is trying to find out why.
