Terrible Headache - CO2?
Terrible Headache - CO2?
Yesterday afternoon, I laid down for a nap. After about an hour, I was awoken by a really bad headache. I laid there for a few moments wondering what was going on. I felt of the air outlet and found that it was partially blocked by the edge of my pillow. So, was this caused by a build up of CO2 because the air wasn't circulating good? I've been on cpap for over 2 years and this has never happened before. I've never read about this on here and was wondering if this had happened to others???? About 5 to 10 minutes after I got up and was moving around, the headache went away.

I think that there is a good chance that your assumption is correct. The partial build up of CO2 could have caused the headache.

Re: Terrible Headache - CO2?
That is why I modify my masks - to prevent the air vent from being blocked. I can only sleep face-down and, so far, I've only been able to use the Breeze mask, after modifying it by adding a "tunnel cover" over the vent, which also serves to route the air up, above my head, dispersing it so it doesn't bother me.
