Still snoring on CPAP, help!
I've been on my ResMed S9 Elite for 7 months now and I'm just finding out from my partner that I am snoring through the CPAP at night. My pressure is set at 10 and I know how to change the settings but I'm not sure how to proceed at this point. Any suggestions on how I should go about this?

Hi Miguel -- Do you use SleepyHead or ResScan? Can you post a screenshot of a typical night with these graphs showing: Event, Flow Rate, Flow Limitation, Snore and Leak? Based on your description it sounds like a pressure increase might be in order but first a closer look at your data would be a good idea before doing anything.

I wouldn't do anything without evaluating the reports that are available from your S9 Elite.
I have links for software in my signature line that will work with your machine.
As well as a little tutorial to help understand what you see.
Minor snoring without any apnea events may not need anything if you are sleeping well. It all depends on how many snores you might be having. Now if your snoring is of such magnitude that your bed partner is losing sleep....that's not so good.
If pressure changes are needed sometimes if it is just snores and not anything else showing up on the reports...often it doesn't take much of an increase to prevent the snores if they are the last thing remaining to be eliminated or reduced.
Often as little as 0.5 increase will do the trick. Now if you are seeing a truckload of other Obstructive apneas or hyponeas or flow limitations..then maybe more of an increase is needed.
Evaluate the reports first. If you are unsure of what you are seeing you can post an image of a typical detailed report here and members will offer their input.
If you don't know how to post an image of a report...we talk about it here in this thread along with examples
