I am attempting to update my 0.8.8 version of SleepyHead to 0.9.3 May 2013 version.
I am not very computer literate and am afraid that I will do something that will cause me to lose all my previous data stored on my old version of SleepyHead.
However as I attempting to install the new version on my Windows Vista, the following message is popping up and I am not sure what to do:
C:\Program Files (86)\SleepyHead already exists
Would you like to install in the same folder anyway?
yes no
Has anybody had the same window pop up whilst attempting to update?

I would say yes, because you're installing new stuff... it doesn't mean you'll lose what's there already. The update needs to be installed as part of the orig. program, not a separate one.

Go ahead and let it install over the old one but first go to your MyDocuments folder and make a copy of the Sleephead data folder onto a SD card or disk or somewhere safe...like on your desktop...just in case it loses the old data...we can put it back if need be.

This is important!Pugsy wrote:Go ahead and let it install over the old one but first go to your MyDocuments folder and make a copy of the Sleephead data folder onto a SD card or disk or somewhere safe...like on your desktop...just in case it loses the old data...we can put it back if need be.
I just got a "new" usb stick in the mail today.
It has data from 3 different users and it overwrote all my data.
I deleted everything out of the SleepyheadData folder and copied in the original data. Its all back.
I formatted the usb stick, hopefully everything is back to normal after tonight.
Hopefully none of that data got stored on my machine or I will have to delete that as well somehow.
