How many hours on it. Mine went belly up with 20,000 hours in it (different brand). They don't last forever. Might need a new compressor.

We have the same brand Invacaire and just had it replaced(Medicare). It only had 9000hrs, we had it about 20 months but it started beeping intermittently, the RT came out, checked for kinks in the tubing and some other things and said when these things go bad there's no way to know what's wrong so they just replace them and send the old one back to the factory or somewhere? The new one is working fine.

I am not sure I know "they" used to come when I had insurance and once I didnt they told me I would have to pay so much a month...I told them to come get it and they decided somehow I had paid ...or the insurance had... so now I can afford to replace it. I just happened to sell enough crap on ebay to by filters... it does this high pitch here and there ,,,if I cant fix it I am in trouble.

If you can figure out what part's whistling, maybe you can replace just that part, if that's the only problem? Don't know anything about these things, but sometimes you don't need to replace the whole thing. Just an idea.

When I had one, I ran the tubing through the closet wall and put it in the adjoining room, cut down on the noise quite a bit.

I apologize, I just looked again and our concentrator is a Visionaire and it doesn't require filters. Very compact and quiet.

One day I went to a nursing home to fix a ladies hair and I passed a room with an open door. I was amazed how many concentrators were stacked in there. I just wonder if they can sell these. It might be an inexpensive way to get a replacement.
