No spit! (lol)

Post by HeidiHose » Fri May 19, 2006 2:19 pm

I use the Activa Mirage nasal mask and a chin strap. I don't have any problem getting to sleep, but usually I wake up within a couple of hours with my mouth totally devoid of saliva and I start to cough. When I wake up, the pressure is at 14 and I feel like I can't exhale. Another thing I noticed is that sometimes my mouth fills with air, and I have to open it to let it out. What the heck is THAT?

So I take a drink and hit the ramp button, and this cycle happens several times during the night until I throw the thing off my face! Of course, then I start to snore and keep my husband up! It seems like a no-win situation.

I'm going to try a full face mask.

Any other thoughts?

Your chin strap isn't doing the job for you. Many post of this problem. A search on "mouth" will give you plenty of food for thought on mouth leaks which ruin your treatment.
