I received my REMStar Auto from CPAP.com and set it up. Very easy. However, I'm not sure I used the correct therapy type. I cannot tell from "feel" in that I'm new to CPAP.
The setup manual doesn't correlate the codes to the descriptions. It simply lists the codes at the top and then describes the available therapies. If I correlate the order of the codes to the therapy descriptions shown below, here is what I would assume they describe.
CPAP -- CPAP without C-Flex
APAP -- Auto CPAP plus C-Flex
CFLE -- CPAP plus C-Flex
AFLE -- Auto CPAP without C-Flex
The acronyms are not particularly logical. For instance, if I have these codes correctly aligned to the descriptions this means the FLE in CFLE means C-Flex is operating and the FLE in AFLE means C-Flex is not operating.
I just want to make sure I know what setting I have this equipment on. Can anyone verify my assumptions.
Thanks, Don
REMStar Auto CPAP w/C-Flex Codes - Can't Tell
While I am sure that there is someone better to answer let me take a shot a this until one of the "regulars" gets online.
I think you have the auto backwards APAP is auto without cflex
Also, on my machine (not auto) if you don't pick the code with cflex then you aren't prompted to choose a cflex number. If you pick AFLE and are then given a choice of 1, 2, or 3 then you know that option has cflex. By the same token, if the APAP programming doesn't prompt you to choose a level (1,2, or 3) then you know that there is no cflex.
Hope this helps.
