Newbie needs advice
I have been on a mirage quattro full face mask for a week with REMstar pro C-Flex+ at 11 cm. The usual challenges, BUT last night my husband woke me up becasue I was snoring while the mask was still on my face! I thought that my snoring days were over! Advice, please!
Re: Newbie needs advice
I thought mine were over too, but evidently not according to my wife and the charts on SleepyHead. Not as bad as before but still there on some occasions.
Who knew?

Janie - please register, so that you can then go to User Ctl Panel under the logo and fill out your Profile with the exact name and model # of your machine and mask, plus whatever pressures you're using. Please use 'text' vs icons. Now all that will be automatically seen by all (under your notes each time) so we'll have something to go when trying to help.

Re: Newbie needs advice
I have had several nights when my snoring was so bad, it woke me up. I do notice my numbers are about the same, so I don't worry about it.
Tell that to the wife...

Re: Newbie needs advice
I have to use a chin strap and tape to stop my jaw from dropping, and mouth flying open... thus snoring and dry mouth. This is true whether with a full face mask or just a nasal mask.
Hope this helps......

Although I am registered I can't figure out how to create a profile. Can someone point me to the right place, please?

Jabber: Go up to USER CONTROL PANEL at the top of the page, click on that and then follow directions.

However if the snoring is waking you up you might want to think about treating it.Sheriff Buford wrote:I have had several nights when my snoring was so bad, it woke me up. I do notice my numbers are about the same, so I don't worry about it.

Sleep loss is a terrible thing. People get grumpy, short-tempered, etc. That happens here even among the generally friendly. Try not to take it personally.

The snoring may or may not be that critical of an issue. See the links in my signature line and get the software and let's see if the snores are massive and/or even need worrying about. Your machine will flag snores so they are easily seen on the software reports.janiebug wrote:I have been on a mirage quattro full face mask for a week with REMstar pro C-Flex+ at 11 cm. It depends on how many, how long and how often whether we get too excited about them...or if they wake you up but I assume you slept right through them. Sometimes they are related to sleeping position..especially supine sleeping.
If you really do have a lot of snores showing all night long..snores are an indication of at least a partial collapse of the airway and normally fairly easy to resolve with just a tiny bit more pressure. But before worrying about pressure and stuff let's make sure the snores are worth worrying about.
Also explained in the link on understanding your data in SleepyHead is how to post images of your report (once you get it) so we can see what you are seeing and help you better.
