The hypothalamus fails to order the reliase of most important hormones via the pituitary gland. Pulses of a known frequency are subject to degradation as consequence of continuos alpha waves disruptions during REM.

CPAP appears to reverse at least some of the damage. There are many studies out there if you google "cpap gray matter improvement", or "cpap cognitive improvement,"
but here is a fairly recent one: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/806838

I know for myself, I saw immediate changes in ability to focus, short term memory, etc.

More reasons for newbies to keep at it!!

De-Nile. Shrinks the human brain quicker. Headhunters used to soak the cut off heads in De-Nile just to get them to a handy size.

I agree focus was immediately improved. "Brain fog" was gone on the second day of CPAP treatment.

I felt the same results as both f you. The morning headaches, tiredness and the brain fog went away almost by magic.
