UARS titration

Post by tiredintenn » Mon Aug 05, 2013 12:39 pm

Does anyone have a Dr. they could recommend that will titrate for flow limitations / reras / uars? I have yet to find one in Tennessee. I am considering Mayo but interested in others thoughts that are effectively treating their uars.

Your S9 Autoset shows your Flow Limitations (FL) which include RERAs and UARs. So why go to a clinic?
Also, if you do have hi FL, what would you do besides using an XPAP? Would you go to mouth or nose or throat surgeries?

The following graph shows my recent FL:

These are my recent Stats:

The following graph shows my FL in 2011. Do you see the improvement that I have gained by using a CPAP at that time. The set pressure was too damn low?

This graph is after I started to use the S9 in APAP mode. B/c of those several wake ups to go to the BR I started to take Flomax at bedtime which reduced the Nocturia to about 2 per night:

The following graph shows my FL from March 2012, while using my APAP. Not bad!

You shouldn't have to go all the way to Mayo, Stanford, etc for this--I got it done at a suburban clinic. It was by a pulmonologist on staff with an interest in UARS, so maybe call ahead to ask for what you specifically need. What about hospitals/sleep clinics around Vanderbilt medical school?
