Good results with ResMed S9

Post by thegrons » Thu Aug 01, 2013 7:11 pm

Well I have had a few nights on the S9 and set it to 7.8-9.8 in auto set mode. I had only 6 apnea events last night and 5 were central and 1 was obstructive. One thing I have noticed is that I don't have any hypopneas anymore? I wonder if this is due to the autoset mode which is keeping my pressure at the near perfect setting or maybe the algorithm and way it reports these is different from that of the S8 Elite? In any event this is good news for me since I was having about 18 events a night with the S8 so I am very happy with the S9 in the autoset mode!

Maybe a little bit of both???
The S8 models were known to seemingly be a bit over aggressive with the recording of hyponeas for some people but there were others that never had all that many hyponeas and would often have AHI down near 0.0.
