I was wondering if any one knows is there a difference in the way the 2 softwares read the data? I just got the Encore report from the Sleep Management
Solution Company for the last 50 days. I am going hold it up against the SleepyHead report. Is there anythng specific I should look at that would be different?
Any tips would be apprecated.

Re: SleepHead VS Encore Software
The data reported is pretty much identical except for perhaps rounding up or down of numbers to the tenths or hundreths.
Encore reports to the first decimal place and SleepyHead reports to the second.
So essentially the numbers are the same but visually the report looks different.
So same numbers but visually presented in a different manner.

Re: SleepHead VS Encore Software
The biggest difference I see with my System One BiPAP Auto is the reporting of snoring.
The VSI on Encore simply makes no mathematical sense at all to me. At one point I had backward engineered a tentative algebraic formula to convert between Encore's VSI and SleepyHead's VS and VS2 numbers. But the formula didn't enlighten me any about just what it is Encore is reporting for snoring. (Of course, it's also not clear why the system ones record two types of snoring data in the first place.)
But other than the snoring data, the only differences in the numerical data seem to be where to round the indices.
Encore's wave forms are no where near as easy to deal with as SleepyHead's. And if you don't download daily in Encore, you won't have waveform data for every night.
SleepyHead's events tab lists each event along with the time it was recorded and a number that appears to be the length of the event. Encore doesn't tell directly tell you how many events occurred during the night. If the events are few and far between, you can count tick marks, but if they are clustered, you won't be able to reliably count tick marks.

Re: SleepHead VS Encore Software
total noob here (machime arrived, used it for 3 days only - self configured, going in next 2 days to a doc to set the initial config but could not wait so used it 3 days myself ) and I have a question about encore and sleephead. I have sleephead setupped and it works great, reads the data (that encore pro 2.2 won't as machine is newer and I was not able to find newer encore sw) and it's very simple to use. Question is "do I need to search for encore pro 2.5 at all or sleephead is enough" ? I'm more then satisfied with what sleephead shows but I never seen encore report so is there anything useful there or I should stick with sleephead?
thanks in advance
(I hate that I found this site only *after* I purchased my machine , I see here I could of gotten the same machine for half the price I paid )
