Climate line and sweating
Climate line and sweating
I have a Remed with a climate line set at 74 and every night I sweat really bad on the back of my neck. Last night I did not use my cpap and I did not sweat. Is there a correlation or did I just happen to not sweat last night? I am turning the temp down to the low 60's tonight.
Re: Climate line and sweating
i don't think it has anything to do with cpap. I would try to reduce the temp in the room you are sleeping in. Also when you are on CPAP and getting deep sleep you move around less...so that could be part of the problem you are not moving and getting to warm and sweating.
I would start by reducing the temp in the room.
I would start by reducing the temp in the room.

I think the temp of 74 on the Humidifier IS part of the cause of your sweating.Edgeguy wrote:I have a Remed with a climate line set at 74 and every night I sweat really bad on the back of my neck. I am assuming you are using the Humdidifer on "Auto" mode and do NOT also have a high "manual" setting for the Humidity.
I use my Humidifier on "Auto" Mode year round.
But, in the summer months, I reduce ONLY the temperature to 60.
During the days, I run my Central A/C on 72 degrees.
I reduce that to 71 degrees at night to sleep.
A combination of a lower room temperature AND a lower Humidifier temperature should eliminate ALL of your sweating - assuming your sweating is NOT caused by having a large number of apneas while you sleep.
