Love my CPAP if I can keep it on
Love my CPAP if I can keep it on
I am in my third month of therapy and have finally got to the point that I don't dread going to bed. I used to hate having to feel the mask on my face and having to deal with the pressure it put on my nose. Now the only thing I hate is the dreaded itch I get that I don't want to scratch because the mask is in a perfect spot and sealed perfectly. But on with the story at hand. I went to bed as normal, had my mask on and went sleep. It was some time around 2 am when my wife woke me up and told me to put my mask on. I immediately replied to her that I indeed did have it on. She said that I was snoring and could not have it on. It was at that moment that I realized that my nasal mask was sitting perfectly on my forehead. Don't remember doing that! Just the other night I just happened to wake up for no reason, and there sitting on my chest was my mask. I have to say that I am sleeping so much better and deeper now that I don't mind these funny little happenstances. I chalk it up to those funny little things we as humans do in our sleep.

This is fairly common around that time of your therapy.
If it becomes a real problem, people have tried; wearing mittens to bed, taping the mask to the hair of face so it hurts when removed (and you wake up), adding more straps.
