newbie short of breath

Post by napster » Sun May 07, 2006 7:51 am

I started w/CPAP two months ago. My wife and kids have noticed I gasp for breath at the slightest exertion. My back and chest feel tight, like I can't get a complete breath. Is this common, and CPAP-related? Will it go away, or does it indicate incompatibility with machine or settings?

If you are not on the machine when it happens, then I can't see a connection.

I suggest you consult your Doc.

Best,

Tom

I agree with Tom: Consult your Doc, and do it ASAP.
