SNORING AGAIN

Post by warrior391 » Fri Jun 21, 2013 7:29 am

Hi all, been on Cpap now for over 3 years, seems to have been going well thus far, other than I don't get the "refreshed" or "well rested" feeling like some do, (as my Doc said that there are some that don't feel that, since I am "borderline") ? Anyway, recently an I don't know how long, I have been told I am snoring fairly badly again, although it's not waking ME up during the night like it used to pre CPAP. I'm told it's like I am not wearing the CPAP? Any thoughts? Other than another sleep study?

Things can change over time. It may be your pressure is not adequate any longer. What does your data say?

I have not downloaded it recently, but I will soon and post...I totally understand things change, so should I post data and see if I should bump up the pressure perhaps?
Ok, can I post my data, for last nite, as an attachment, does NOT look good

Save the desktop image (or part of it) to a file. Windows Snipping tool works well for this.

Then, upload the image file to photobucket.com. Accounts are free.

When Photobucket displays your image, there will be a bunch of links displayed in the bottom
right corner of the screen. Click on the last one to copy it to the clipboard.

Paste the link into your post. In the post you will only see the link, but if you click the
preview button the image should appear.

I don't read "squiggly lines" reports, but could the problem be that your mouth is falling open during the night?
Looking at your profile, you're using a nasal mask.......unless you're taping your mouth shut, that's one possibility for your snoring. Another could be that your pressure is insufficient.

If you could post some "Daily Details" reports from Encore Pro, that might help to see a little more clearly what the problem might be.

Also, if you sleep on your back, that could be another possibility.

Can you post the daily details page for the night in question? It should be
near the end of the Encore report.

If you're not already, I'd suggest doing nasal cleansing before bedtime.
If you're using a high humidifier setting, you might try some lower settings. Too much humidity can make nasal congestion worse.
Along with that, it would appear that your pressure level is insufficient. Try moving it up one centimeter at a time for a few nights to a week per increase. See if that helps.

Post another one of those reports after a few more nights after the changes.

My thoughts 100%! If it's not Encore Dailies, I don't bother, it has all the info you need, save the rest for someone else to argue over. The only thing I'd like is time spent in apnea and duration, which James Skinner's program did very well! Jim
