Now I know what deep sleep is!

Post by hawaiimom » Sun Jun 16, 2013 1:53 pm

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and good morning to the rest of the crew! I have now been on the hose almost 4 weeks and it is going well. Funny story from the other night though, started a 5 night stretch of call on Friday and sure enough, nursery called me to come in around 11:30 pm, had been on the machine and asleep just under 2 hours. Reviewing my data based on timing and my respiratory rate, I had just entered REM. I have not felt that brain dead and confused on call in years! The nurse on the other end of the phone must have wondered what was up when I couldn't just rattle off what I wanted her to do.

Up again last night for the ER....just some things I am not going to be able to fix in my sleep architecture Have started to use my SleepPhones as an eye cover to keep sunlight out in the morning, works really well to get an extra few zzzzzz's. The adventure continues.

You're reminding me when I had my first ejaculation that I knew then what it felt.

I was temped to hit the spam button on that post but I wasn't sure. To me it was a really tacky joke but I know other people have issues with that but where does it fall on the range of spam or trolling?

It was just rude and totally inapropriate. I am sure he meant to come back and change it so he could act innocent.

Aloha All,
Yes, I was very offended on reading the now infamous post this morning and wished there was a report as offensive button There is not however, and I refuse to let the inappropriate, unrelated ramblings of anyone rock my boat. There is so much good happening here, I just want to be a positive influence and offer help where I can.

The rest of my call story....the nursing supervisor that night had just been diagnosed with severe OSA, I take care of her son. It ended up being an awesome opportunity for me to listen to her and offer encouragement in her journey. Gave her this website. I know it will serve her well

Come on, Stormynights. Get in my time machine so you can go back to a time before you heard this and I can go back to a time before my daughter told me my MIL doesn't wear underwear to bed.

My daughter was fine with it (she's 7), but I was a bit traumatized.
