I've been on cpap for about a month. From the INFO area of my machine I have this info: My usual AHI was under 5 there were 0 large leaks.
I have no idea how to locate any other info. I read some people talk about sleepyhead. Have no clue what it is, sorry.
I've had a head/chest cold (in case that influences the problem).
Last night, since I couldn't fall asleep right away, I was reading a book while I had cpap in ramp. I noticed steam gathering around the tap mask, but this may be entirely normal. I rarely have a light on after i hit the bed. I used cpapa from 9 PM to this morning at 5am. I woke up last night to cough and checked the machine. It said my AHI was 10. When I received the machine, I had a bloody nose, so I changed the humidifier from 4 to 5, but today it read 4. The hours listed under day 1 (last night) was 0; Large leaks: 0.
Any ideas as to what is going on? Should I just call the company/my therapist?
Can you help me identify a problem, if there is one?

SleepyHead information can be found here.

download link in my signature too. Be sure to get the files dated May 19..that's the latest version.
The onscreen LCD display doesn't update until 12 noon GMT time. I bet you checked before 12 noon GMT time.
I see if happen often in the AM when I wake up and it is light outside and I look down at the mask where the pillows attach.
And yes...if you have a cold and aren't feeling well with congestion and such it will affect the numbers on the machine and the reports.
Your equipment in your profile points to a humidifier that was discontinued in 2007...and you have data on the LCD screen for 1 day...so that means you have a 60 series machine...
In the equipment section of the profile thing....look for the groupings that begin with "PR System One......." to identify your equipment choices.
In your case...you mention APAP...so your machine would be the "PR System One 60 series Auto CPAP machine"
and your humidifier would be the PR System One 60 series with heated tube (even though you may not be using the heat tube option)

Was this what you saw at the 5 AM wake time?....if so..check it now and I bet it will show last nights hours of use.docjl wrote:The hours listed under day 1 (last night) was 0; Large leaks: 0.

Do you mean that you noticed the tap pap sort of clouding up? That's normal. It's our own warm breath causing that to happen.docjl wrote: I noticed steam gathering around the tap mask, but this may be entirely normal

This can easily happen...probably accidentally bumped the knob and it changed. I do this all the time and yes...always seem to change it down and not up.docjl wrote:I changed the humidifier from 4 to 5, but today it read 4.
