Compliment for supplier

Post by Tee » Sat Jun 08, 2013 8:20 am

I ordered from http://1800cpap.com/resmed-s9-slimline-cpap-tubing.aspx ResMed slimline tubing on Wednesday for a great price of $7.99 (unfortunately the sale is over) and it was delivered today. Such great service, that I wanted everyone here to know how good it was. Free shipping too! It is exactly as described, not a cheap knock-off, but true, in the factory package Resmed tubing. I am not affiliated with them, just a happy customer!

From comparing business profiles, this company has not been around nearly as long as our hosts;
and the name suggests to me some attempt at name similarity in order to steal customer base. (am I wrong?)
I have compared prices, and found cpap.com to be equal or better, with frequent specials.
Cpap.com has matched prices for me, on request.

Though it is always good to hear about other product deals/sales from around the online PAP world, and I certainly appreciate someone letting the Forum members here know about them, I must agree with Chunky Frog about the long history of great products, prices, and service from CPAP.com. Also, I would be remiss in not mentioning all of the amazing online help, advice, compassion, and friendships that I have experienced from the blessing of the CPAPTalk Forum!

I would never expect or encourage complete online exclusivity due to these things, but I certainly let my feelings of long term consumer success and satisfaction be expressed by where the majority of my out of pocket dollars are spent, or said another way... loyalty and gratitude through my wallet

1800 cpap has sales more frequently than our hosts & shipping in the US is always free. I tend to shop around.

I like cpap.com, but get serious. Anyone opening an online CPAP business is going to get the simplest name they can get that includes "cpap" and ".com." They've apparently been around since 2007.

I haven't bought anything from 1800cpap, however.

ResMed makes online cpap suppliers agree to not discount their ResMed merchandise. They can only advertise and sell at prices delegated by ResMed.
This is why cpap.com cannot price match ResMed products. The places that are selling new products for less....are not abiding by their agreement with ResMed.
I don't know how 1800 got away with it or if it was some special sale or something authorized by ResMed....or if the sale ended because they got caught.

I haven't used them recently, but several consulting companies have shown that offering free shipping (even if it's slow boat from China) increases order frequency since consumers aren't "saving their orders". It's just good business sense in the current market. Especially since the mail-order tax "exemption" is going away.
When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

Prescribed APAP range - 6-10 cm/H2O, titrated at 8.
Current range - 9.0-11.5 cm/H2O - still searching for the magic "zero night" but averaging 2.2 AHI

Good point. Sales tax bites; but so far (knock on wood) no tax due at our hosts (at least to my address).
Medical stuff SHOULD be exempt, shouldn't it? Pharmacy items are not taxed in NE.

I love cpap.com. I can order and expect to get what I ordered really fast. My DME provides me with nothing but headaches. Stupid me I watch my mail every day for a mask that I have been waiting for since April. I just called and they can't send it until my doctor gets back from vacation even though I have a letter from my insurance saying I am approved.

I went to the 1800cpap site to see and read their "user help forum".......you know.......like CPAPTALK. Couldn't find one. I guess they don't have one. I'm disappointed. I was really looking forward to posting about how much I like CPAP(dot)COM and their products and service.

FUGM!

Maybe they are hoping for "arrangements" with insurance companies-
-don't want to spoil that by spreading "heresy".

about 2 months ago, 1800cpap.com had a sale on headgear for my Resmed Quattro.... Their sale price was $5 lower than our hosts.

I bought 3 sets for spares & saved a total of $15 plus I didn't pay for shipping.

1800cpap.com's current price for resmed quattro headgear is $29 versus our host price of $31... neither seller includes clip with the headgear at that price.

Our host adds in shipping charges for anything under $99 & 1800cpap.com ships everything for free if you are in the US. They tend to use either UPS or the US postal system.

Complain & joke all you want about 1800cpap.com not having a help forum. Just remember those sellers on E-bay that we tend to frequent don't have one either.

You can't include me in that "WE" thing.
I've been loyal to CPAP(dot)COM for eight years.......since I began this journey. My first equipment order was with CPAP(dot)COM. I've NEVER purchased any supplies from a brick & mortar DME or Ebay. In fact, I haven't purchased anything off of Ebay for about 10 years.......years before I started this therapy. The only other items I've purchased were some that CPAP(dot)COM no longer carried (like Pro 2 and Auto machines), some of which (machines and masks) I purchased from some forum members and when the CPAPAuction site was still up and running.

I've always ordered my supplies in quantities greater than $100 increments to get free shipping. It makes absolutely no sense to me to order in smaller quantities than that because I plan on using this therapy for a considerable length of time.

I very much appreciate the Goodman family providing this forum and I've had no problem contributing a few extra dollars occasionally to support it.
