sore chest!
sore chest!
Just for your information -... I had been on a constant pressure machine (about 12cm h2o) for 3 yrs and was getting a sore chest , drs checked it out & recommended taking a large dose of paracetamol every night ..... instead I tried an auto machine and the pain has gone away - hope this helps someone!
Re: sore chest!
I should point out the "ticker" was checked out with a ultrasound stress test and was OK and gastric reflux is also ok. The auto machine spends most of the night at about 6cm instead of 12cm on the set pressure machine.
Re: sore chest!
At a low of 6 I would be afraid that it would not ramp up quickly enough to stop apneas. I am no expert though. What is your AHI count like?

6cmH2O sounds pretty low to stop obstructive apneas in adults, however if you're checking your progress with Sheepyhead or ResMed software and they are indeed wiped out (and your doctor agrees), then you're good to go. You should probably add you equipment and software programs to your profile.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
Re: sore chest!
I think I gave the wrong info - the base line is 6 but the pressure graph is like a saw tooth with a median of 8.5 & 95 percentile at 11.5
