OSA and The Hobbit

Post by TerBear » Wed May 29, 2013 1:51 pm

I am usually something of a ghost around here, but today, I felt the need to post. I suddenly have an image of myself as Gollum but instead of a ring, I'm referring to my APAP machine. I found the following as a quote and find it fits perfectly.

"The Ring, which Gollum referred to as "my precious" or "precious", extended his life far beyond natural limits. Under centuries of the Ring's influence, Gollum had come to love and hate the Ring, just as he loved and hated himself. Throughout the story, Gollum was torn between his lust for the Ring and his desire to be free of it."

My first anniversary will be in June. It has been a good year!

My Precious is over 2 years old, with close to 7000 hours.
I cannot bear the thought that someday I may lose my Precious.
But maybe the next model will be even more awesome . . . (there are limits to my loyalty)

My Precious is coming up on five years old. It has over 12,000 hours on it.

It's been a good five years. Much better than it would have been without it.

But I admit to looking forward to a new machine....

My precious got retired for a new one. It had a stint this month when I went on holiday and chose to bring the old faithful -- just in case....

Soon, you will not let anyone or anything come between you and your precious....you would rather strangle the person trying to take it away from you...you will disappear into the realm of sleep becoming a wraith....thankfully you no longer sound like Gollum at nite now.
