Re: Mirage Activa Lt
I like mine, had the regular Activa for a long time and liked it the best of any, but this is a tick more comfortable. Very good for sleeping on the stomach.

Re: Mirage Activa Lt
An excellent nasal mask with easy adjustment knob, a very flexible cushion that is perfect for keeping a good seal with movement, plus the vent is extremely quiet. And, as a bonus, the frame can also accept ResMed's gel version cushion. So you can switch cushion types depending on your mood..... The headgear quick clips are a tad cumbersome in how you have to press them inward, but at least there are quick clips present.
Go for it.

One caveat. The mask is very quiet, but if you have any liquid moisture in the mask, it will start to whistle. For this reason, it is important that rainout be completely controlled.
I'm workin' on it.

I don't like the Activa cushion because it's made of thin plastic and made to collapse upon exhalation. During inhalation the air pressure extends it with an acoustic SNAP."The ActiveCell Technology in it creates a dynamic defense against the problems created by active sleep." The regular Mirage SoftGel cushion which uses the same mask frame is built with a heavy thick walls silicon and stay firm throughout the respiration cycle and does not do the SNAPPING:

I agree with the comments about the Gel cushion. I like it much better than the "active" cushion. It is very quiet as well.

Re: Mirage Activa Lt
Tried both Activa LT and SoftGel cushions, the SoftGel feel heavy and and stiff in comparison

Re: Mirage Activa Lt
I've been using either an Activa, or Activa LT mask for over 5 years. I've never heard or felt "an acoustic SNAP" with these masks. My experience has been that if the mask collapses, the straps are too tight; the mask should never collapse when properly adjusted.avi123 wrote:I don't like the Activa cushion because it's made of thin plastic and made to collapse upon exhalation. These masks do tend to pump in and out a bit, but only such as is noticeable by putting a finger on the cushion to feel it doing this. In fact, this is how I determine whether the straps are adjusted properly!
I've never tried the micro-gel. Maybe next mask I'll give it a try.
I'm workin' on it.

HoseHead, the sentence "Cushions just snap on and off" is from this ad:
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... igodigital
check it. Why cpap.com's ad uses the word SNAP if it is soundless?
If you hold the Activa cushion in your hands and try to expand it you'll see that it is made to be expandable like an accordion, probably to fit different faces profiles.
The snapping noise could depend on the air pressure. The higher the pressure the more the acoustic sound of the SNAPPING TURTLE.
Could be that some users like the SNAPPING feature. I discarded two cushions b/c of it.
By the way I have problems with both types of cushions b/c I need to wear my upper denture during sleep. The lower side of the triangular cushion rests on the moustache area (upper lip) and if I don't wear my denture the cushion has no firm base.

This makes zero sense. The ResMed Activa and Soft Gel cushion both use a support frame, just like the Quattro, which uses three tabs that 'snap' into the mask shell.
The Activa cushion does not make 'snapping' noises while being used.
I have used the Activa and it provides an excellent seal. Some movement and expansion occurs when exhaling but that's exactly what it was intended to do, to provide an excellent flexible seal. I have also used the Soft Gel cushion -- which is not all that soft, causes more pressure above the upper lip and takes more getting used to.

The sound that the mask makes when being assembled or disassembled has exactly zero relationship with the sounds that it makes when it's being used.
My apap tops out at 12 cm H2O and I've never heard any of the sounds that you have described. Exactly what pressure are you using with your xpap?
I'm workin' on it.
