Comfort Gel mask dislodges from the headgear

Post by seagullhhh » Wed May 22, 2013 9:21 pm

I've been a long time user of the comfort gel mask, but only recently it seems the mask dislodges from the headset very easily. no parts broken that i can tell but I can't figure out why it does this so often. Should I consider a different product too? I love my setup and don't really want to change it. Also, I've been cleaning my reservoir nightly with Dawn and thoroughly rinsing it out, and how often do I need to clean the tubing? That enough for now? LOL, thanks for whatever help anybody can offer!!

can't help with your mask, sorry.

As for the cleaning, it depends on your own personal preference. I personally only clean the tubing about every 4-5 days, some people clean theirs everyday. I have to admit I haven't even cleaned my tank for over a week, but I use distilled water in mine. It really is a case of what you are happy with.

I take it to mean the padded "T" hooked to the top strap unhooks from the vertical adjustment. If so its probably cracked behind the pad, if it bends it will unhook. SAve old mask parts for repairs. The cause, mask tightened too tight, or you are too rough on it, they arent tough and dont last forever. At least the fixed the bottom ear problem, after 3 years.... Jim

I found the gel pad fitted really badly to the frame, and caused leaks...hated the setup, and dismantling it to wash it and put it back together was a nightmare...
