Machine shows 0 leaks Sleepyhead shows 40

Post by johnmtaylor » Tue Apr 30, 2013 9:07 am

I am trying to interpret my 1st sleepyhead data.
I am a little confused about the leaks showing in sleepyhead. How do I post the data here?

The LCD screen data that you see 0 in regards for leaks is for " percent of time in large leak"...that's all.
Not total leak that SleepyHead shows (vent rate plus any excess leak).

The on screen leak data...sorely limited. All it tells you is you didn't hit large leak territory which for your machine is somewhere around 80 to 90 L/min.

I knew you had a PR as soon as I saw your title. Not only do you need a large leak for it to register, but since all you see on the machine is a 7 or 30 day AVERAGE, you have to leak a good long time for it to register anything.

I don't know why the manufacturer thought that was useful info--by the time that detects a leak you've got serious issues. Thank goodness for sleepyhead!

Side note for PR S1 60 series users.
Looks like the data on the LCD screen now includes data for the last night (one night so most recent night) along with 7 and 30 day averages.

Example...my LCD screen for leak data shows 0.0 for 1 night...that would be last night...so 0.0 % of the time in large leaks.
Also my 7/30 day averages were 0.0 % of time spent in large leaks. I rarely have any time spent in large leak with PR S1 machine.

So the new 60 series machines now offer a single night average also...it still sucks but better than just the 7/30 day averages.

Apparently this pertains to the other data that is also reported on the LCD screen like AHI and PB %.

You people using the 50 series machines...you won't have this added piece of data.
