I just got a CMS50E oxmeter. I'm trying to open the Spo2 file with Sleepyhead but it says it can't open the file. Any suggestions?
Also I keep getting an update reminder when opening Sleepyhead but the auto update to 0.9.2 fails. I have 0.9.1. How do I manually download the latest version?
Thanks! in advance.

I am zero help with the CMS E thing but I can help with the SleepyHead issue.Ticman wrote:Also I keep getting an update reminder when opening Sleepyhead but the auto update to 0.9.2 fails. I have 0.9.1. How do I manually download the latest version?
Go to the SleepyHead icon and instead of double clicking the mouse to open and run it....do a right click of the mouse and choose "run as administrator" from the menu that pops up.
Then let SleepyHead go ahead and open. It should check for the update and have it automatically install all by itself.
The problem is that you likely have Windows Vista or new and the Windows security is blocking the update. Being a bit over zealous in its protection.
Running SleepyHead under the "run as administrator" umbrella will allow SleepyHead to update.
This has nothing to do with your personal user administrator rights.
You are missing a few features by not having version 9.2-1 which is what you should have if that update installs like it is supposed to.

Thanks Pugsy!! That worked perfectly. I'll try opening the Spo2 file again now.

Hi Ticman. If you continue to have problems with the pulse-ox software, post any remaining issues here or feel free to PM me. Been down the same road. So far, I have found all the hangups/issues are quite manageable.

Re: CMS 50E and Sleepyhead
I think the issue is that you're (probably) using SpO2 Assistant (the newer software) rather than SpO2 Review.
SleepyHead only knows how to read .spo/.spoR files, produced by SpO2 Review. It doesn't know how to read the SpO2 Assistant (.spo2) files.
It's possible my information is slightly out of date, but from what you're saying, that sounds likely to be the problem. I'm not aware of any way to convert between the formats. You might just have to live with the .spo2 data outside of SH and use SpO2 Review from now on.
Kevin has download links for both programs. The version you need will depend on the version of Windows you're running. http://www.pulseoxstore.com/Manuals-Downloads.html

Re: CMS 50E and Sleepyhead
I think you may be right. I hoped since sleepyhead was asking for Spo* it would open the Spo2 files but it fails every time. Considering what I have seen since wearing the CMS I'm not to worried about it. The lowest reading I have seen so far is 94 (had a stuffy nose that night) but most of the time it stays right between 97 and 98 all night long. I've been very pleased to see my o2 level stay very steady all night.sawinglogz wrote:I think the issue is that you're (probably) using SpO2 Assistant (the newer software) rather than SpO2 Review.
