Urgent help PB 420e

Post by puffing billy » Wed Apr 24, 2013 8:28 pm

Hi
I am working in Germany and my puritan bennett 420e shows an error code 15 and wont work.
What does the code mean and how can I fix or clear it.
Is it an internal fuse.
I inadvertantly trapped the sense pipe.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Billy

Looking at the clinician manual for the Goodknight 420g, the only error codes that are explained are "In 1" (hose or mask disconnected) and "In 3" (power supply voltage dropped). In the troubleshooting guide section, the cause for "Er XX" is "The device has detected an operating fault" and the recommended action is "Contact the technical support".

That's all I could find and I found that on another forum.
My link to all the old service manuals is broken so I can't go look at my usual source that I could also send to you.

I think your machine may be in serious trouble though..

I have those manuals on a disc..I will go see if I can find the service manual for that machine...give me a bit of time.

Oops I see Stormy found the same apnea board ...

That error code is on the list. I just didn't want to be the one to deliver the bad news.

I found the provider manual but no service manual so I don't have anything else to add either.

Call these guys and see if they have any idea what it might be...they work on cpap machines for a living.

Many thanks for the help.

It looks like I will have to get my spare machine sent from home.

I know it sounds silly, but be sure to unplug it for a while and try again. You'd be surprised how often people don't try that.
