From what I have read on this forum I know the Mirage Liberty Hybrid is not the mask for everyone but I think it may be the one me. Hopefully I am not speaking to soon but I am so happy I had to share. So far I have only used it 2 nights and only have the data from last night but oh what data it was....

I received this mask from one of the many angels on this forum and I am very grateful to that person. This was a mask that I was really interested in trying but had been told by my former DME that I could not even try it because of my pressure setting (at the time I was @ 14cmH2O/CPAP mode). I am using the small mouth cushion and the small nasal pillows. No leaks or any major issues at all. I do have a little irritation on my upper lip and my nares where the silicone seal is touching but if I remember correctly it took my skin about 2 weeks to stop adjust to the silicone on the Quatro Fx I was using before so I figure it will be about the same here. Because this mask seems to fit my face so much better than the Quatro Fx I can actually adjust the straps rather loosely and have few if any marks on my face in the am. There is no more air blowing into by eyes. If my nose itches I can scratch it without having to remove the mask and reset the seal. And when I drool (yes unfortunately I am one of those people) I can just slide my handkerchief under the edge of the seal wipe it up and drop the seal right back into place, I could not do this with the FX. I can wear my glasses with it, would be able to read or watch tv if I so desired. It is a bit louder I think because of the placements of the vents to the sides rather than in the middle and as a side sleeper I am partially blocking one set of holes on the side I sleep on but I am sure I will adjust to it after a few days like I did to the machine noise and fans when I use them. Sorry for the long post but I am excited and felt the need to share. Hope everyone has a great night!

Glad to hear this one works for you.

This just goes to show you that there is a mask for everyone out there. You just need to find it, even if it means stumbling on to it. I tried the Liberty and enjoyed it, but I have a deviated septum and I could not control the leaks. I was in our hosts' store... saw the Fitlife. The first thing I told myself was "Ain't no way I could wear that mask!" But after looking at it, I realized it would solve all the issues I was having.... so maybe... I tried the mask on, rolled on the floor (to see if the mask would leak) and wha-la... I seem to have a "last resort" mask and a DME tried to talk me out of using it... but you'd have to pry my cold, dead fingers off the mask to get it away from me.
Glad you found yours!

Congratulations on your success. If that area still stays a bit sore you might try making a little mask liner to help pad that area just a little bit. Just an old T shirt or similar material.
Karen at Padacheek.com makes some wonderful mask liners that last months and months and months.
Just a thought if you still have a little rubbing problem after a bit of time.
Or maybe a tiny bit of the Lansinoh ointment on the offending area.
