Weird but funny dream

Post by cctex » Mon Apr 15, 2013 7:23 am

Early this morning i was dreaming that I was driving down the road and I saw a orange snake the floor. I opened the door and reached down to throw it out and it coiled back right at my face. Next thing I know I jerk the hose off my mask and throw it on the bedroom floor. Thank goodness it has the quick release. LOL

At least you got it! That snake won't be bothering you again!

At least you didn't get the gun out trying to kill it.
My step dad did that. That's when we very quietly removed the bullets and "forgot" to mention it.

Yeah it was and I am not kidding..it really happened.
During the last few months of his life his oxygen starved brain often saw things that weren't there. Sometimes his mind was as sharp as a tack and other times there were problems with reality.
He raised hell when we remove the pistol he had kept in that nightstand for probably 40 years....so we put it back minus the bullets and he never realized it. We of course moved the box of ammunition that was in the closet to another hiding place.
He never even noticed that thankfully.

One night he rearranged all the bedroom furniture in the middle of the night and without turning a light on.
Which was totally amazing because he was so weak that getting up to pee was a substantial drain on his energy level.
Lots of stories. Some we shared with him when his mind was clear and we all had a good laugh.
The gun and the snake story...we didn't bring that one up.

My mother-in-law would wake up in the middle of the night and head for the bathroom-
-but she thought she was still a kid in Ukraine (you guessed it: outdoors)
Hubby had to sleep on her sofa so he could intercept her.

This reminds me of my grandpa. His children had indoor plumbing put in his house. One day he was sick so his kids were there with him. He started out the back door and they caught him. He said I'll be GD if I am going to $#it in my own house. I guess if you are raised and lived without indoor plumbing it just wouldn't seem right.
