Does Sleepyhead support Nonin Pulse-ox data?

Post by fredr500 » Fri Apr 12, 2013 8:48 am

I've been trying to find an in-netowrk DME that can supply me a CMS_50x Pulse-ox device, but no one carries it or is willing to work with Kevin to get them and resell to me.I found a local DME that can order me a Nonin writeOx 3150 and have it in a week.

Before I have them get it, can I import Nonin data into SleepyHead, or does it only support the CMS models?

Had I realized at the start what a cluster this was going to be I'd have just ordered the CMS-50F and paid out of pocket. But I'm in so far now I feel that I must continue...

Thanks.

Just use the Nonin outside of SH. Interfacing Zeo and an oximeter into SH is not the greatest. A little hard to read so I keep them separate but all tied in.

SleepyHead only supports the CMS pulse ox.

There was an overnight pulse ox supported by ResScan and the S9 but I don't remember what it was called.
Very price though.
We've talked about it on the forum though. Kind of hard to find it since I don't remember the name though.
It was a Nonin though....if I remember correctly.

fred, it's not clear what do you want to accomplish. Since you use a Resmed machine the ideal approach would be to use the standard S9 Complete Oximetry Kit (# 369100) which costs around $1200, and use it in ResScan. The most expensive item in the kit is the Xpod which connects the S9 Oximetry Adapter mounted on the back of the S9 machine to the finger pulse Oximeter. A Nonin Xpod does not fit the S9 Oximetry Adapter, wires- hookup wise. The cheapest item in the kit is a Nonin finger pulse Oximeter (Soft Sensor), which costs about $200.

See it here:

p.s. I don't know if SH supports a Nonin pulse Oximeter.

I think I'll take Cosmo's advice and just match it up as needed. OR maybe skip it completely for a while. My AHIs are pretty low, I was just wondering what was happening during my CAs.

I'll think about it over the weekend, the DME I found is willing to order the Nonin for me on Monday.
Thanks for your insights.

May be your DME could order the S9 Complete Oximetry Kit for less money?
