Pull up on the lid. Then pull out.

Check this link...to try to figure out which model Respironics machine you have.

CFlex Plus is Respironics exhale relief.
Look on the bottom of the blower unit (but not until you get the tank removed) and tell us the 3 digit model number you see.
CFlex is not normally available on the $3500 machine unless your DME charged a whole lot more than most people charge.
CFlex is normally on machines with model number 460 or less...and they don't cost anywhere near $3500.

Anyway...see if this link helps you with getting the tank out. The top lid doesn't come off...it raises up and you slide the plastic tank out from the front.

Down the center hole in the chamber is a long finger that is the latch. Out your finger in and press it to the side and the lid will pop off.

Look in the hole on the.... see the little tab ....stick your finger in it and press it to release. With the fat end of the tank next to you the tab is in the hole next to the fat end of the tank.

I had a heck of a time figuring that out myself. For a long time I never opened it.
If you can't find it let me know and I will find a picture.
