Another Perfect Zero!

Post by dos coyotes » Sun Apr 07, 2013 9:12 pm

I don't like to brag but I can't help myself - SleepHead says that last night (Sat 4/6) I scored my second perfect AHI score of 0.0 in less than 6 weeks of cpap therapy! Once again that shiny gold smilie face is dancing on my computer.

I am indeed. I used to either nap, or simply fall asleep (unplanned) every afternoon almost without fail! I have not needed an afternoon nap - voluntary of otherwise since beginning cpap. Over the Easter weekend I made the 4- hours drive home to see my mother. I do a lot of cross country driving sometimes as much as 8-10-12 hours a day. I often found myself drowsy behind the wheel and sometimes would have to pull over and rest repeatedly. On the recent round trip home and back I didn't have the slightest issue of drowsiness! I can recall friends telling me 10-20 years ago that I stopped breathing in my sleep. I didn't believe it or didn't care enough to worry about it. While sleeping with a mask on my face (alien as Pugsy likes to say!) is no fun, I only wish I had started this earlier in life...

Congrats.

I had a perfect 0.0 AHI Saturday night myself but I can't brag...not quite 2 hours of sleep and the rest of the night was spent bowing to the porcelain throne...stomach bug.
But it sure looked good for a couple of hours.
