Almost a 0.0 AHI

Post by Nooblakahn » Fri Mar 29, 2013 4:42 pm

Almost there! Note the gaps in therapy were not me unknowingly removing the mask. The first gap, I, got out of bed... The other one, I took the mask off to adjust my mask liner.

Hi Noob -- I don't know how difficult it is to get that close to zero on an ASV machine, but I bet it's not easy. So kudos to you!

Congrats on your 0.0 AHI. I've just recorded my 6th one since I started therapy 7 months ago. I hope you are feeling better. I'm only averaging about 4 hrs of actual sleep at night. How many hours of sleep are you averaging? I notice that you use the same machine that I do.

Noob -- you have to take some of the credit here. You've had a wonderful, "can do" attitude since you started here.

Kudos to you!!!

MagsterMile, Its not quite a 0.0, just really really close. I've clocked a number of nights under 1.0, this is the only one with just one event the whole night though. My average according to my machine is 7.8. Most nights I am at or over 8 hours. I have a few below (obviously). I only have one night that was below the compliance mark of less than 4, it was my goal to walk into my DME with 30/30, so I can get close.. but not all the way to my goal . I see you said you average 4 hours of sleep each night, do you use the machine all 4 hours? If you don't mind me asking, how did your first study go? What was your ahi and o2 desats? How long did it take you to feel better after you started "hosing" yourself? Lastly, did you have trouble adjusting to this machine?

Madalot, I will take some credit. Now where can I spend these credits? And do they have cpap supplies Oh wait, I can take everyone out to dinner with them J/k. Thanks for the kind words, I think my Can do attitude comes with my job Hey, Maybe I'll see you in chat today.

Dreaming, I have to say I do feel better. Its not a sudden great feeling, except for the first 3 days of therapy, I could have conquered the world any one of those days. Now that my body is used to "real" sleep I'm sure I'm playing catch-up. I do feel incrementally better. I know this for sure from the 3 days that I've missed 2+ hours and how I feel the next morning. Tired, Horrible, headaches etc. All around like I was shot at and missed and Pooped at and hit.

So it is definitely doing what it should be doing.

Thanks again all for the support.
