Any Suggestions for a Sleep Apnea Pillow?

Post by SmilingSharon » Tue Mar 26, 2013 11:35 pm

Can anyone recommend a good sleep apnea pillow for side sleepers? I've seen a lot online but would like some of your opinions on them. Thank you so much!!!

I use the Contour pillow. Its a memory foam pillow with cut outs for sleeping on your side and not disturbing your mask. The Contour is not very "tall" and can be hard....so beware. It has a "ledge" to support your neck, which I also like and need. Some folks can't handle a memory foam and use a buckwheat pillow (I always think of the Little Rascals ). You can smush the pillow to accommodate your needs. I initially used a Pap pillow, but it was too soft and fluffy. My daughter loves it and took it to Kansas City with her.

I just got my Regenesis Pillow (buckwheat hulls) today in the mail. Can't wait to try it tonight!

I've been using my Cpap Max pillow-Contour for several weeks now. Took awhile but I'm getting used to is. For a long time I was using the edge with the softer edge. It was uncomfortable and when I positioned the mask as close to the well as possible, I felt like my head would start to slip down over the edge. Several nights ago, I turned the pillow so that my shoulders where against the wider and firmer edge and find that I no longer feel that my head is dropping over the edge. Therefore, the mask can hang over the edge comfortably.
