ResMed CPAP machine for sale
ResMed CPAP machine for sale
I have a ResMed Escape II EPR CPAP machine with new-in-bag tubing (two of these), LT Head gear assembly, 3 size M nose pillows, 1 size S pillow, 2 two-packs of Ultrafine filters, H4i Water Chamber, power cords and carry-on type shoulder bag which holds everything in it. The machine itself has about a weeks worth of usage, but the rest of the parts are new-in-bag, made in Australia (except the tubing which was manufactured in Germany). My apnea went away but I still have all this stuff. It is the exact same as shown here: http://www.respshop.com/cpap-machines/r ... MgodQD4ABA but includes all the other parts not shown at the http://www.repshop.com website.
$500 via paypal and will ship all of it the next day. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can send pics etc. beforehand.

Re: ResMed CPAP machine for sale
The site you suggested has the ResMed Escape II EPRs listed between $700-$799 pre-owned low hours, heated humidifier etc., and the orig retail is $3400 for the unit. Plus I'm including a year+ in extra consumables/spare parts. Thanks for the input though- had no idea they were that expensive!
Re: ResMed CPAP machine for sale
the resmed escape (1 or 2) was the bottom of the barrel in that line of product. unless it was made for a Saudi king and made of solid gold, at no time was it $3400.
Re: ResMed CPAP machine for sale
Sorry to burst your bubble but those $700 gently used machines were VPAP and ASV machines...so was that $3400 MSRP...for the high end ASV VPAPs.
You need to look way down the page till you find the S8 Escape II CPAP....$275
You are comparing a Mercedes to a basic model Hyundai...and the S8 isn't the Mercedes.
What you have is the basic cpap machine...nothing special...in fact it blows air and does a good job of it but that's it.
It's old technology...plain and simple.
The S9 is the new technology and has been out in production coming on 3 years now and we often find the S9 AutoSets brand new for $450 to $500 range and that's the Cadillac with all the bells and whistles.
You will find that most of the forum members here value some features that your machine simply doesn't offer.
Your mask would have zero value to someone who couldn't use that model mask. Sorry but that's the cold hard facts of life.
Secondwindcpap.com gets a little more for there machines because they go through them and provide a warranty even on the used machines...they are in the business to make money.
Private party sales are going run 1/2 to 2/3 of secondwind prices...depends on the model.
You won't like what anyone here might offer for your machine. If you even got an offer.
It simply is not the type of machine most of us would want unless it was dirt cheap...which it isn't.
Good luck to you though. Don't be surprised if no won jumps on this one though...you are way overpriced and the fact that you don't know your models...makes a person leery.

Re: ResMed CPAP machine for sale
The link in your post, that you said is your model, is selling it for $722 new....there is no way Second Wind would be selling it used for more than new retail...freddkat wrote:The site you suggested has the ResMed Escape II EPRs listed between $700-$799 pre-owned low hours, heated humidifier etc., and the orig retail is $3400 for the unit. I'm just curious...You say the machine only has a week usage and your apnea went away....something does not computfreddkat wrote:I have a ResMed Escape II EPR CPAP machine with new-in-bag tubing (two of these), LT Head gear assembly, 3 size M nose pillows, 1 size S pillow, 2 two-packs of Ultrafine filters, H4i Water Chamber, power cords and carry-on type shoulder bag which holds everything in it. Re: ResMed CPAP machine for sale
yeah, I did the sleep lab two yrs ago and they told me I was waking up 70+ times/ night, so the doc gave me the CPAP which was covered under my aetna at the time. I used it maybe a week and never did get used to it, and chalked my sleep lab wakeups to having been in a hospital lab under camera all night. I quit smoking/lost buncha weight and sleep well ever since. Actually I went to the distributor to return the machine last wk and they said I'd been paying for it the whole time and it's mine now - so thought I'd get it to someone who could use it, since I don't - and I've been getting sent the replacement hoses and other stuff all along, and the thing is practically unused. Far as I can tell it's adjustable eight ways from Sunday and quite the cool machine, temp adjust, etc. And if the nose pillows don't work for whomever is interested, am sure they know how to locate whatever mask or other attachment that works for them. If they're looking online, chances are they are already savvy about it all, or should be. Sounds like you guys are too. Anyway, not trying to get rich, just get the thing to a new home and offset bit of the gazillions I pay aetna. I don't know what it cost originally - the site I was directed to had a pic of the exact same unit, which is the only info I had until you guys posted your posts. Anyway, like I said - anybody wants/needs one, I'm open to it.
Re: ResMed CPAP machine for sale
This Respironics PRS1 Auto is $596 brand new at cpap.com, our host for this site.
https://www.cpap.com/cpap-machine/respi ... -flex.html
It's an enormously better choice. It's a current model machine, it does auto pressure, it records full data, including AHI, leaks, and airflow waveforms, has a manufacturer's warranty, the data is recorded on a standard SD card instead of a proprietary card you can't get the card reader for, etc.
edit - It's actually not the absolute latest model machine, but the main thing it lacks is the heated hose option.
Unless someone's REALLY hard up for cash and the price is a lot lower, getting any kind of ResMed Escape CPAP is a bad idea. Getting the obsolete S8 model is even more so.
Anyone shopping for a used CPAP should get a Respironics PRS1 Pro or Auto or an S9 Elite or Autoset, and shouldn't pay much more than $300 for it, including humidifier.
