ASV Machines for sale

Post by cronoclone » Mon Mar 11, 2013 2:32 pm

I have two ASV machines for sale that I no longer use.

1) Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt SV -- 900 run hours, 3 years old. Humidifier included. Works perfectly. It's a great little machine. - SOLD

3) Respironics Trilogy 100 -- 100 run hours, 1 year old. The ultimate cpap machine. Does CPAP, BiPAP, AVAPS. Does everything. Comes with all the accessories still sealed. In immaculate condition. - SOLD

I'll just throw out some numbers..$700 for the S9, $1200 for the Respironics. Second wind cpap lists the S9 at $1549, but there's no listing for the Trilogy. I'll be honest -- I've never actually seen a Trilogy for sale. They retail for $8000, but I have no idea what the secondhand value might be.

PM me if you're interested.

EDIT: I'd not be averse to some haggling if someone out there has a pressing need for these machines and feels the price is too steep.

(BTW, I've now been completely free from sleep apnea for six months. Life has never been better )

How did you get free from sleep apnea?

For anyone wondering about the Trilogy....I am pretty sure that is what Madalot uses and actually can work more like a traditional ventilator (in addition to other settings available). Ultimate high end fancy high dollar machine.
No easy to obtain software that I know of.

I did notice that there was a recall on the respironics trilogy 100 and lawyers trolling for business in people harmed by it.

This thread was brought to my attention by a forum member.

I DO use a Trilogy 100 and have been since February 2010. Mine isn't included in the recall.

Typically, these machines are NOT for sale to patients. I went through a HUGE "thing" when my DME sold to another DME about the machine being rent-to-own or perpetual rental. Took a couple months to sort out but in the end -- PERPETUAL RENTAL, Baby -- and not cheap at that. This thing has been paid for 3 times over by now....

The software for it is is not easy to get, NOR is it sleep apnea oriented. The Trilogy is considered a ventilator and the data obtained from it is geared more towards that.

How did I get the Trilogy? I was diagnosed with hypoventilation along with sleep apnea, so the Trilogy was prescribed for its AVAPS feature. I'd already been through CPAP, Bi-level, and ASV, so my doctor figured it was worth a shot. It worked quite handily. I received the Trilogy in August of 2012, well after the recall.

Also, I'd not be averse to some haggling if someone out there has a pressing need for these machines and feels the price is too steep.

You OWN the Trilogy???? I thought, for a while, that I would own mine, but they really screwed me out of it. My DME bills my insurance $1,500 A MONTH for it. And they approve $1,495.

This rental for the rest of my life....

The least exciting way possible: I lost 150 pounds. Apparently I'm one of the "lucky" ones whose symptoms disappeared once their weight returned to "normal." I even got it confirmed with a sleep study. Of course, since I had been overweight my whole life, I had no way of knowing that until recently...

Anyhow, no more CPAP machines for me. I've officially "cut the hose."

Congratulations on your weight loss success along with getting to lose the machine success.

Shameless "bump." I lowered the asking price, as I'm still looking for a home for these two machines.

That is a pretty reasonable price for both machines.

A word of advise to the seller, list your City, State and Country in your profile. If someone lives in your area or has a contact there, there is a higher probability of a purchase than if they are sending the money to an unknown person.

Good luck and congrats on your weight loss.
