respironics 560p ejected card
respironics 560p ejected card
Today I ejected the memory card while the machine was plugged in and the ramp symbol was flickering fast until I reinserted the card. Is ejecting the card while the machine is powered up bad? Sort of like pulling out a usb memory card from the computer without disabling it first?

My machine does the same. I believe that is simply a warning that the card is missing ... it's never caused me trouble.acidragon wrote:Today I ejected the memory card while the machine was plugged in and the ramp symbol was flickering fast until I reinserted the card. Sleep loss is a terrible thing. People get grumpy, short-tempered, etc. That happens here even among the generally friendly. Try not to take it personally.

No you're fine. The machine itself holds data so whenever you insert the SD card it automatically downloads any info it missed. ^^^^^thats right about it flashing letting you know the SD is out though.

It's probably safer to wait a minute or so after turning the machine off to eject the card. If you eject it while it's writing data, there's some risk the data will be messed up.
However, I've haven't really been that careful, and haven't had any problems I could blame on ejecting the card.
