Need a recommendation for the various versions of Encore Software:
- Encore Pro2
- Encore Anywhere (primarily for practitioners?)
- Encore Viewer
Thank'ee
This is a GREAT site.
Encore Recommendation
Re: Encore Recommendation
Don't bother with Encore Viewer. It's designed not to confuse you with views of your data, because you couldn't possibly understand that.
Pro will give you a good look at things, but as it's intended to manage a database of thousands of CPAP patients, it's a bit heavier than it needs to be for our purposes. You may not notice this, though. The pro version is a bit spendy, and argh, there's got to be a better way.
I'm not really familiar with Anywhere. It's web-based and the front page only mentions compliance data, so it might not be useful if you wanted to know more than how many hours a night you used your machine. If you have to pay for it, it's probably not worth it.
You also might give SleepyHead a try. It's free and was written from the ground up by a fellow CPAP user to help individuals manage their own therapy. It's still in beta testing and there are a few bugs, but many people prefer it to ResScan and Encore anyway.
Another user-coded alternative is Onkor. Like Anywhere, it's web based, but it's a full data viewer.

Re: Encore Recommendation
I don't remember reading about Basic when I was researching machines and software two years ago, but it sounds much better than the bloated pig version.

Re: Encore Recommendation
I've wandered through a few times since then, but definitely haven't participated enough to keep up with all the developments. I'm glad they released a version without the database.Pugsy wrote:You've been absent from the forum for a little while. Basic was released late spring 2012 right after the 60 series machines were released.
